Rhiannon Faith cerca una danzatrice performer per il nuovo lavoro Smack That (a conversation). La performer deve avere eccellente tecnica contemporanea, grande capacità nell’improvvisazione e nel lavoro col testo. Deve inoltre essere disposta a lavorare su di sé, sulla propria biografia. L’interesse per i problemi sugli abusi domestici è essenziale.

Smack That (a conversation) è una coreografia di teatrodanza sovversiva e senza vergogna sulla resilienza umana e la sopravvivenza. Risposte autobiografiche da parte di donne che hanno subito l’esperienza del terrorismo intimo nelle loro vite. Sia i performers che i non-performers si riuniscono per parlare delle loro storie di violenza.

Il lavoro è commissionato dalla Harlow Playhouse e a fianco all’associazione Safer Places, la maggiore organizzazione che si occupa alle vittime della violenza di genere nell’Essex. Lo spettacolo contempla supporto dall’Arts Council England, dall’Openlab del Barbican e dal Richmix.

Date delle prove:

• dal 6 al 10 febbraio (Harlow)
• dal 13 al 17 febbraio (Harlow)
• dal 20 al 24 febbraio (Harlow)
• dal 27 febbraio al 3 marzo (Londra)
• sono in fase di definizione altre ulteriori prove in aprile e maggio e la tournée nazionale 2017/2018 (soggetta a finanziamento).

Compenso: £500 alla settimana.

Lo spostamento tra Harlow  e Londra verrà rimborsato dalla compagnia. L’accesso all’assistenza per l’infanzia può essere fornito (mandare email a Maddy per maggiori informazioni).

All’audizione verranno dati piccoli pezzi del repertorio e temi creativi che coinvolgono testo e movimento.

L’audizione è solo su invito e si terrà il 22 gennaio 2017 dalle 15:30 alle 18:30 con call back e colloqui il 24 gennaio 2017 (l’ora verrà comunicata).

Rhiannon Faith Audition for Female dancers   (UK)

Rhiannon Faith is looking for one female performer for new work, Smack That (a conversation). The performer must have excellent contemporary dance technique, strong improvisation skills and the capacity to work with text. Must be happy to work autobiographically and not mind swearing. Interest in the issues around Domestic Abuse is essential.

Smack That (a conversation) Shameless and subversive dance theatre about human resilience, survival and change. Autobiographical responses from women who have experienced intimate terrorism in their lives. Both performers and non-performers come together to tell their stories of violence in a unique, turbulent and empowering way.

The work is commissioned by Harlow Playhouse and works alongside the charity Safer Places, the leading care provider for all victims of gender based violence throughout Essex. The show includes support from Arts Council England, Openlab at the Barbican and Richmix.

Project Details: This Research and Development phase of the project will be a four week studio based research period with clients from Safer Places and the professional performers. This will be a strongly considered, safe creative process with interventions from a counsellor scheduled throughout the research phase for the team.

Rehearsal Dates:

• 6 – 10 Feb (Harlow)
• 13 – 17 Feb (Harlow)
• 20 – 24 Feb (Harlow)
• 27 Feb – 3 March (London)
• Leading to three further rehearsal weeks in April/May and a 2017/2018 national tour (subject to funding).

Fee: £500 per week

Travel between Harlow and London will be covered by the company. Access to childcare can be provided (please email Maddy for more information).

The audition will involve learning a short piece of rep and a creative task involving text and movement.
