La Fundación Prisma Danza accetta proposte per la sua 8° edizione del PRISMA–Festival Internazionale di danza Contemporanea di Panama (PRISMA 2019), che si terrà a Panama City dal 6 al 13 ottobre 2019.

Scadenza candidature: le compagne interessate o i coreografi indipendenti devono mandare le loro proposte (in video) entro il 31 dicembre 2018 (ore 12:00 di Panama) compilando il form on line sul sito www.festivalprisma.com. Solo le prime 500 proposte ricevute verranno prese in considerazione. Vi consigliamo di candidarvi al più presto.

PRISMA  è un progetto indipendente per la promozione e lo sviluppo della danza contemporanea a Panama.

Il festival include anche un programma formativo con master class e workshop gratuiti per creare una piattaforma di connessione per artisti di diverse nazionalità, incoraggiando le interrelazioni tra di essi e rafforzando i legami tra le nostre culture.

Base per la partecipazione: per essere presi in considerazione bisogna completare il formulario online e allegare, sempre online, le informazioni richieste di seguito entro il 31 dicembre 2018:

Le proposte devono poter essere allestite sia per il teatro che per uno spazio alternativo (palestra di scuola, stazione metropolitana, musei, ed altro).

  1. candidatura Online dal formulario
  2. video integrale del lavoro (vimeo o youtube / non sono accettati altri formati). Trailer o teasers (promo) non verranno valutati.
  3. Informazioni sul lavoro proposto (coreografo, danzatori, interpreti, musica, lunghezza, requisiti tecnici, etc.)
  4. Breve biografa della compagnia, se possibile
  5. Curriculum vitae del coreografo
  6. 3 foto (in alta risoluzione in formato .jpeg) relative al lavoro candidato
  7. proposta di Master Class / Workshop (senza costi aggiuntivi)

Requisiti:

  • la durata del lavoro deve essere compresa tra i 20 e i 60 minuti. I pezzi più corti o più lunghi non saranno accettati; la combinazione di più pezzi per soddisfare i requisiti può essere un’opzione.
  • è possibile che nella stessa sera vengano presentati 2-3 lavori.
  • ogni compagnia può sottoporre alla commissione al al massimo 2 lavori

Processo di valutazione e risposte: una commissione di selezione valuterà le candidature pervenute e verrà comunicata la decisione nell’ultima settimana di febbraio 2019.

Spese: Il festival coprirà le seguenti voci di spesa ai partecipanti:

  • onorario professionale (stabilito dal festival): I cachet professionali pagati dal Festival ad ogni compagnia sarà concordato in anticipo e relativo al formato del lavoro (solo, duo/trio, gruppo) e non potrà accedere i $ 4,500 (per organici di 6 o più danzatori) e verranno saldati al più presto a spettacoli conclusi.
  • sistemazione (3 notti in hotel in stanza doppia)
  • diaria giornaliera e vitto e spese basilari per 3 giorni ($ 25 al giorno a partecipante)
  • trasporti interni (da e per aeroporto, master class, prove e presentazioni).

Il Festival non copre le spese dei voli.

Se selezionati dalla commissione giudicatrice del festival, la compagnia o il coreografo dovranno confermare la partecipazione entro il 30 aprile 2019.

Master Class e Workshops: ad ogni compagnia selezionata è richiesto di dare almeno una master class o un workshop (massimo 2) durante il Festival e senza costi aggiuntivi per esso.

PRISMA 2019 – Festival de Danza Contemporánea of Panama. Open Call

Fundación Prisma Danza is now accepting submissions for the 8th edition of PRISMA–International Contemporary Dance Festival of Panama (hereunder, PRISMA 2019), to be held in Panama City from October 6th to October 13th, 2019.

Deadline for submissions: Interested companies, dance groups or independent choreographers should send their proposals (video submissions) by December 31st, 2018 (12:00 am Panama Time). Only the first 500 proposals received will be considered. We suggest sending proposals at your earliest

Overview:

PRISMA is an independent project for the promotion and development of contemporary dance in Panama.

The festival also includes a strong educational program with free master classes and workshops to create a platform for artists of different nationalities to connect, encouraging bonds between them and strengthening ties amongst our cultures.

Basis for participation:

To be considered, participants must complete our online form and attach via our online platform the following info by December 31st, 2018:

 The proposals can be designed for theater settings or for public/alternative spaces (school gyms, metro stations, and museums, among others).

  1. Online Entry Form
  2. A video of the entire work to be presented (vimeo or youtube / no other formats will be accepted). TRAILERS OR TEASERS WILL NOT BE EVALUATED.
  3. Information on the submitted work (choreographer, dancers, interpreters, music, length, technical requirements, etc.)
  4. Brief bio of the company, if applicable
  5. CV/Resume of choreographer
  6. 3 Photos (high resolution jpeg) of the submitted work
  7. The Master Class / Workshop proposal (at no additional cost)

Requirements:

  • The length of the work must be between 20 and 60 minutes. Pieces shorter or longer will not be accepted; combining pieces to meet the required length is not an option.
  • Please be aware that, depending on the submissions and time allocations, the possibility exists for 2-3 works to be presented on the same night.
  • Each company may submit a maximum of two (2) works for evaluation by the Selection Committee.

Process of Evaluation and Response: A Selection Committee will evaluate submissions received, and we will communicate its decisions to all participating parties on the last week of February.

Expenses:
The festival will cover the following expenses for the participants:

  • Professional fees (established by the Festival): Professional fees payed by the Festival to each company or dance group will be agreed upon beforehand according to the format of the work (solo, duo/trio, group work) and will not exceed $4,500(for groups of 6 or more dancers), and will be handed out as soon as the performance concludes.
  • Lodging (3 hotel nights in double rooms)
  • Per diem for meals and basic expenses for 3 days ($25 / day / participant)
  • Internal transportation (from and to airport, master class, rehearsals, presentations).

The Festival will not cover airfares.

Once selected by the festival’s committee, the company/choreographer must confirm its participation by April 30.

Master Classes and Workshops:

Each selected company or group is requested to teach at least one master class or workshop (maximum of two) in the Festival’s available spaces, at no extra cost to PRISMA.
