Joss Arnott Dance cerca danzatrici da aggiungere alla compagnia per una produzione e la successiva tournée di 11 date in autunno.
La compagnia, diretta da Joss Arnott, crea lavori classici e contemporanei ed è operativa presso il Lawrence Batley Theatre, ad Huddersfield nel West Yorkshire.
Il programma della tournée sarà di pura danza con tre coreografie di cui due di repertorio ed una di nuova creazione.
E’ supportato dall’Arts Council England e dalla PRS for Music Foundation; commissionato dal DanceEast, Blackpool Grand e Swindon Dance; sviluppato con CAST e il Dance City, supportato dal Lawrence Batley Theatre, dall’Università di Salford e Yorkshire Dance e infine prodotto da Phil Hargreaves.
I candidati devono avere eccellente tecnica classica e contemporanea, forte abilità nel contact/partnering e capacità creativa. Inoltre dovrebbero avere notevole capacità nell’insegnamento poiché la compagnia svolge estesa attività formativa e pedagogica.
I candidati dovrebbero familiarizzare, prima della data di audizione, con il lavoro della compagnia.
I candidati devono essere disponibili per tutte le date indicate di seguito:
- Periodo di creazione: dal 7 agosto al 1 settembre e dal 25 settembre al 5 ottobre 2017
- Periodo della tournée: dal 6 ottobre al 29 novembre 2017.
All’interno di queste date si svolgerà attività di formazione e sensibilizzazione, giorni lavorativi e periodi fuori contratto. Spese di viaggio e alloggio, ove necessario, saranno fornite durante le prove nel North England.
Dopo l’autunno c’è la possibilità di una tournée nella primavera 2018 (ciò dipende dal finanziamento).
Questo è un lavoro retribuito.

Joss Arnott Dance Audition
Joss Arnott Dance seeks a professional female dancer to join the company for their creation period and 11-date Autumn 2017 tour. The company create classical contemporary work and are based at the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield – West Yorkshire led by Artistic Director Joss Arnott.
The touring programme will be a pure-dance, triple bill production consisting of two existing works and a new full company work.
Supported using public funding by Arts Council England and PRS for Music Foundation. Commissioned by DanceEast, Blackpool Grand and Swindon Dance. Developed with CAST and Dance City. Supported by the Lawrence Batley Theatre, University of Salford and Yorkshire Dance. Produced by Phil Hargreaves.
Auditionees should have excellent classical and contemporary technique, strong contact/partnering and creative skills. Additionally, applicants should have exceptional teaching skills due to the company’s extensive education and outreach activity.
Applicants are advised to familiarise themselves with the company and their work.
Applicants should be available for all the following dates:
- Creation Period – 7th August – 1st September 2017 and 25th September – 5th October 2017
- Tour Period – 6th October – 29th November 2017
Within these periods there will be Education and Outreach activity, travel days and periods off contract. Travel and Accommodation, where necessary, will be provided during rehearsals in the North of England.
Following the Autumn, there will be a possibility of a Spring 2018 tour (funding dependent).
This position is paid.
