KOMOCO è una compagnia di danza italiana diretta da Sofia Nappi, insieme ai suoi più stretti collaboratori Paolo Piancastelli e Adriano Popolo Rubbio, generosamente sostenuta e coprodotta dalla storica Associazione Sosta Palmizi. Sofia Nappi è stata coreografa ospite di compagnie internazionali, artista in residenza, ha presentato lavori con KOMOCO e tenuto workshop professionali in Germania, USA, Italia, Olanda, Israele, Francia, Albania, Spagna, Isole Canarie, Kosovo, Belgio e Ungheria, facendo tappa in molti prestigiosi festival e piattaforme italiane e internazionali, tra cui: La Biennale di Venezia, The Albania Meeting Dance Festival, RomaEuropa Festival, MASDANZA e molti altri.
Il suo ultimo lavoro Dodi, già vincitore dell’Introdans Partner Award al Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition 2021, ha ricevuto il 1° Premio, il Premio della Critica e il Premio Produzione dalla Fondazione Tanja Liedtke e dal Direttore Artistico Marco Goecke dello Staatstheater Hannover al prestigioso 35° Concorso Internazionale di Coreografia Hannover 2021. Sofia Nappi non vede l’ora di continuare tutti i progetti futuri con KOMOCO. Le nuove commissioni per quest’anno e gli ultimi mesi sono per il prestigioso Staatstheater Hannover, Nationaltheater di Mannheim, Introdans e Ballet X (USA).
KOMOCO offre a danzatori e danzatrici, 3 contratti per IMA, una nuova produzione a serata intera. Un primo studio del lavoro è stato presentato al 14° Festival di Danza Contemporanea della Biennale di Venezia 2020, su commissione della direttrice Marie Chouinard.
Il lavoro è stato scelto per essere sviluppato in uno spettacolo completo e coprodotto dall’Associazione Sosta Palmizi, The Colors International Dance Festival 2022 di Stoccarda, direttore artistico Eric Gauthier, da Cango Compagnia Virgilio Sieni e da Teatro El Canal de Madrid.
KOMOCO è alla ricerca di artisti appassionati per costruire un futuro insieme, investire su una ricerca fisica e artistica a lungo termine. Si cercano anche collaborazioni future oltre al contratto.
PERIODO DI LAVORO:

Si segnala che Sofia Nappi, Adriano Popolo Rubbio e Paolo Piancastelli terranno una masterclass aggiuntiva il 19 marzo 2022 dalle ore 11:00 alle 14:00. E’ una masterclass assolutamente facoltativa, un’occasione per familiarizzare con il lavoro della compagnia, ma non influenzerà il processo di audizione/decisione finale. KOMOCO Audition
KOMOCO is an Italian Dance Company directed by Sofia Nappi, together with her closest collaborators Paolo Piancastelli and Adriano Popolo Rubbio, generously supported and co-produced by the historic Ass. Sosta Palmizi. Sofia Nappi has been a guest choreographer for international companies, artist in residence, she has presented works with KOMOCO and taught professional workshops in Germany, USA, Italy, Holland, Israel, France, Albania, Spain, Canary Islands, Kosovo, Belgium and Hungary, making stops to many prestigious Italian and international festivals and platforms, including: La Biennale di Venezia, The Albania Meeting Dance Festival, RomaEuropa Festival, MASDANZA and many other.
Her latest work Dodi, already the winner of the Introdans Partner Award at the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition 2021, was awarded the 1st Prize, the Critics’ Award and the Production Award by the Tanja Liedtke Foundation and by the Artistic Director Marco Goecke of Staatstheater Hannover at the prestigious 35. International Choreography Competition Hannover 2021. Sofia Nappi is looking forward to continuing all future projects with KOMOCO. New commissions for this year and latest months are for the prestigious Staatstheater Hannover, Nationaltheater of Mannheim, Introdans and Ballet X (USA).
KOMOCO is looking to offer 3 contracts for the new full-evening length production IMA . A first study of the work was presented at the 14th Contemporary Dance Festival of the Venice Biennale 2020, under the commission of the director Marie Chouinard.
The work has been chosen to be developed into a full-length performance and co-produced by Ass. Sosta Palmizi, The Colors International Dance Festival 2022 in Stuttgart, artistic director Eric Gauthier and by Cango, Compagnia Virgilio Sieni and Teatro El Canal de Madrid.
KOMOCO is looking for artists who are passionate about building a future together, invest on a physical and artistic research on the long run. We are also looking for future collaborations apart from the contract!
WORKING PERIOD:
