La compagnia KOMOCO diretta da Sofia Nappi cerca un/a direttore/trice prove a partire dalla stagione 2026/27.
KOMOCO, compagnia di danza con sede in Italia, attiva a livello internazionale con tournée, residenze artistiche e programmi di formazione, è alla ricerca di una figura professionale in qualità di direttore/direttrice prove, una figura con forti competenze nella danza contemporanea, nella creazione di nuovi lavori e nella ripresa di produzioni esistenti; una figura dotata di forte sensibilità artistica e capacità organizzative, interessata a costruire un percorso a lungo termine con la compagnia.
La figura risponde direttamente alla direttrice artistica/coreografa e collabora a stretto contatto con l’ufficio produzione sia in sala prove sia in tournée.
MANSIONI
- collabora a stretto contatto con la coreografa durante le creazioni e le riprese delle opere, definendo obiettivi e tempistiche chiare e contribuendo alla realizzazione della sua visione artistica;
- mantiene e trasmette il repertorio coreografico garantendo la qualità artistica del lavoro per conto della direttrice artistica/coreografa;
- coordina e organizza le prove della compagnia durante i periodi di lavoro e in tournée, fungendo da referente quando la direttrice Artistica/coreografa non è presente in tournée o in studio;
- contribuisce alla pianificazione del calendario prove e del programma tecnico in collaborazione con la direttrice artistica/coreografa, la responsabile di produzione e il responsabile tecnico;
- favorisce un ambiente di lavoro positivo e collaborativo e garantisce il rispetto della policy della compagnia in materia di inclusione e diversità;
- supporta la crescita e il percorso di apprendimento dei/delle danzatori/trici;
- fa da tramite tra la direttrice artistica/coreografa e i/le danzatori/trici.
REQUISITI
- solida formazione artistica e coreutica: minimo 3 anni di esperienza in una compagnia professionale di danza in un ruolo affine oppure come danzatore/trice esperto/a interessato/a a un significativo cambiamento di carriera, con comprovate capacità organizzative;
- forte adesione alla missione e alla visione della compagnia in un’ottica di lungo periodo;
- cittadinanza e residenza UE, con idoneità a lavorare in Europa;
- ottime capacità relazionali e di problem solving;
- buone capacità di comunicazione scritta e orale in inglese; la conoscenza dell’italiano costituisce titolo preferenziale;
- disponibilità completa per tutti i periodi di lavoro indicati nella call e disponibilità a viaggiare per residenze artistiche, tournée, ecc.

PROFILE:
KOMOCO is an Italian-based dance company of international recognition, rapidly establishing itself within the contemporary dance scene. The company, directed by choreographer Sofia Nappi, represents a special project of a young and dynamic reality, with the goal of building a strong and rooted base in Italy while continuing to engage with the international scene and develop meaningful collaborations. KOMOCO performs globally, expanding its network through creations, residencies, and touring activities, and hosts training programs internationally for dancers and communities, connecting people of all gender identities and expressions, cultural backgrounds, and countries of origin.
Komoco is seeking a Rehearsal Director with expertise in contemporary movement, the creation of new pieces, and re-staging existing productions, a person with strong artistic sensitivity and organizational skills, interested in building a long term path with the company.
The Rehearsal Director reports directly to the Artistic Director/choreographer and works closely with the production office in the studio and on tour.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Rehearsal Director :
- Collaborates closely with the choreographer during creations and restaging, by setting clear goals and timelines, and assists in realizing her vision and ambitions;
- Maintains and transmits the choreographic repertoire ensuring the artistic quality of the work on behalf of the Artistic Director/choreographer;
- Leads and organizes company rehearsals during rehearsals periods and on tour, acting as point person when the Artistic Director/choreographer is not on tour or in the studio;
- Provides input into scheduling and tech schedule in consultation with the Artistic Director/choreographer, Production and Tech Manager;
- Contributes to a positive and collaborative workplace culture and ensures that the company Inclusion and Diversity Policy is respected;
- Nurtures and supports the growth and learning of the Dancers;
- Acts as liaison between the Artistic Director/choreographer and the dancers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong artistic and dance background: minimum 3 years of experience in a professional dance company in a related role or as experienced dancer willing to make a significant shift in their career with proven organizational skills;
- Commitment to the mission and vision of the Company on a long-term process;
- EU citizenship and residency, eligible to work in Europe;
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills;
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, preferably also an Italian language;
- Full availability for all listed working periods and ready to travel for artistic residencies, tours etc.
WORKING PERIODS:
(with regular contract and payment in compliance with Italian regulations).
We ask for a full availability during the whole 2026/26 season, starting from August 31st, 2026.
In detail, the current working periods are:
- August 31 – September 16, 2026 / Restage residencies + tour dates
- October 5–20, 2026 / Tour dates
- November 9-15 and 24–27, 2026 / Restages + tour dates
- December 14-18, 2026 / Tour dates
- January 10 – 21, 2027 / Tour dates
- January 29 – March 11, 2027 / Tour dates ** available for all this period
**Additional performances and projects in Spring and Summer 2027
