ITSLIQUID Group, in collaborazione con ACIT Venezia – Associazione Culturale Italo-Tedesca, è lieta di annunciare la call aperta per il Venice Experimental Video and Performing Art Festival 2024, una one-night dedicata alla video e alla performance art, che si terrà a Venezia presso Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello (clicca qui per saperne di più su questa sede), durante la 14esima edizione di VENEZIA CONTEMPORANEA 2024, dal 15 al 29 marzo 2024.
Le opere video selezionate saranno presentate per tutto il periodo della mostra, mentre le performance avranno luogo la sera dell’inaugurazione. Invitiamo performer, danzatori, videomaker e registi a lasciarsi ispirare dal magico potere di Venezia e ad analizzare le parti nascoste della nostra identità, attraverso un’esperienza immersiva nell’affascinante universo dei complessi labirinti della nostra coscienza.
Il Venice Experimental Video and Performing Art Festival 2024 è incentrato sulla relazione tra corpo e spazio e sull’ibridazione tra identità e contesti culturali/fisici/sociali/urbani in epoca contemporanea. Persone, contesti, società, progresso, città e tutti i loro input creano identità ibride, modificandosi a vicenda e mescolandosi in prospettiva per dare forma a un mondo migliore.
Il corpo umano è un sistema mutevole che ci connette con altri corpi e spazi per percepire la realtà circostante: un forte sistema di comunicazione con un proprio linguaggio e infinite modalità di espressione.
Dopo molti anni di ricerche e mostre sull’evoluzione dell’idea di identità, chiediamo agli artisti di condividere i loro racconti personali attraverso video e performance, di creare un legame tra la loro esperienza personale e il pubblico, di raccontarci quali sono le storie e le ragioni alla base delle loro opere.
La scadenza per le candidature è il 23 febbraio 2024.

Contemporary Venice 2024. Call for artists
ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is pleased to announce the open call for Venice Experimental Video and Performing Art Festival 2024, a one-night event dedicated to video and performance art, that will be held in Venice at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello (click here to learn more on this venue), during the 14th edition of CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2024, from March 15 to March 29, 2024.
The selected video works will be featured throughout the entire period of the exhibition, while the performances will take place on the opening night. We invite performers, dancers, video makers and filmmakers to be inspired by the magical power of Venice and to analyze the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness.
Venice Experimental Video and Performing Art Festival 2024 is focused on the relationship between body and space, and the hybridization between identities and cultural/physical/social/urban settings in contemporary times. People, backgrounds, societies, progress, cities and all their inputs create hybrid identities, modifying each other and being mixed in prospect to shape a better world.
The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality: a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression.
After many years of research and exhibitions about the evolution of the idea of identity, we ask artists to share their personal tales through videos and performances, to create a link between their personal experience and the audience, to tell us which are the stories and reasons beneath their works.
Deadline for applications is February 23, 2024
